President
Jasmine Hassan Jasmine Hassan is a sophomore at Stephen F. Austin State University. Jasmine was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She graduated with her Associate's degree out of high school and is currently a senior in Psychology. Jasmine's major is Psychology, however, she is taking the Pre-Medicine route. She hopes to become a psychiatrist one day and make an advance in medicine. Jasmine has a love for helping people and puts her passion into action. Jasmine was very involved in high school, volunteering over 200 hours in various reputable hospitals and facilities. Jasmine was Junior President and Senior President of the National Honor Society. Jasmine created a peer mentorship program for incoming freshman at her school that is still currently active. As Senior President of the National, Jasmine created and organized drives (clothing, canned food, etc.) to give back to her community. Jasmine was also involved in Student Council as well as Houston Independent School District's Student Congress. Jasmine is also a community assistant on campus and hopes to become a Hall Director in the future. Jasmine has a strong passion for social justice issues and spreading cultural diversity. |

Humza was born and raised in the U.S. Humza is a Chemistry major and is of Pakistani decent. Humza joined MSA to be closer to Islam.

Luanna Saade
Luanna is a senior at SFA who is majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology. Luanna was born and raised in Brazil but originally has a Lebanese family. Luanna finds interest in religion, politics, and science. Although Luanna is not Muslim, Luanna is very interested in the religion and has always wanted to be part of Muslim Student Association.

Habiba Awan
Habiba was born in South Africa (Johannesburg). Habiba is the youngest of seven children. Habiba came to the United States in 1977 with her parents. Habiba attended University of Santa Clara in California. Habiba got married to Dr. Shakoor Awan and moved to Nacogdoches, Texas six years later. Habiba had her daughter and shortly after that, her son was born. Habiba home schooled both children and later both attended Nacogdoches High School. Habiba's daughter, Doctor Leah Awan M.D. recently graduated medical school and is currently completing her residency. Habiba's son will be graduating in May with his second Master's in music. Habiba has lived in Nacogdoches for 35 years and started The Muslim Student Association with the help of a young lady named Misbah Anjum. Habiba's son was starting college at SFA at the age of 14 (yes, 14!) and she wanted to bring Muslim students on campus together as well as provide a safe environment for students and faculty of SFA to gain knowledge about the religion.
