Assalamu Alaikum, (Peace be upon you)
The Muslim Student Association is a worldwide organization open to students of all faiths. It's main goals are to promote an educational and informative outlook of Islam that helps to address and eliminate misconceptions of the religion today. It is to provide a new perspective of life and one’s role in it, and to enlighten both Muslims and non-Muslims through camaraderie and solidarity. It aims to provide a platform where students can freely discuss religion and foster interfaith and cultural understanding.
Our MSA is quite small, numbering only 7 students. We are located in Nacogdoches, Texas at Stephen F. Austin State University. Our organization is part of the Office of Multicultural Affairs on campus. We would love for more people to join. Remember, MSA is not just for Muslims. It’s for anyone interested in Islam and cultures associated with Islam, and anyone who wishes to make the world a more peaceful place.
Don't hesitate to come to our biweekly meetings, which are located in the Student Center, room 2.201 at 5 p.m. Dues are a one-time fee of $10. If you see us at any events, don't be afraid to come by and say hi! We will be happy to talk or answer any questions that you may have. Take a look around this website to get more of an idea of what our organization is.
Have a wonderful and blessed day,
SFA MSA
